About Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans franchise was one of the “Original Eight” charter members of the American Football League where they won two AFL Championships as the Houston Oilers before the AFL merged with the NFL in 1969. The franchise would remain in Houston until the 1996 season when owner Bud Adams moved the franchise to Tennessee where they used the “Oilers” moniker until 1999 when they renamed the team the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans have won two AFL Championships, one Conference Championships and nine Division Championships. They have made twenty-one playoff appearances in their fifty seasons of play. They have played at six venues, Jeppesen Stadium (1960-1964), Rice Stadium (1965-1967), Houston Astrodome (1968-1996), Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (1997), Vanderbilt Stadium (1998) and their present digs LP Field (1999-present).
